Bristol October 3rd Public Meeting on Airbnb and Short Lets As rental prices rise in Bristol more and more people are being priced out of the city, we feel it is high time we discussed how short-lets contribute to the issue. CLICK HERE to see our presentation on the Bristol data and issues from the Oct 3rd meeting Thanks to everyone who came to a productive and informative meeting on October 3rd, from 6.30 to 8pm at the Bristol Central Quaker Meeting House, BS2 9DB. Action on Empty Homes hosted the meeting to discuss the impact of Airbnb and short-term lets in Bristol. We heard from a wide variety of local people from community activists to local councillors, and from young people to those with more experience of the changes in Bristol's housing availability and affordability across recent years. We were also joined online and in-person by short-term let campaigners from Manchester. This meeting aimed to answer the question: What can we do to manage the impact of short-term lets in Bristol?
